Maher Terminal is one of the largest privately held multi-user container terminal operators in the world.  As a vital link in the container cargo movement chain, Maher is responsible for helping their customers effectively compete in the global marketplace by handling their cargo as expeditiously and economically as possible. Maher takes this responsibility very seriously and has developed the largest marine container terminal in the Port of New York and New Jersey. The scope and flexibility of Maher’s multi-user marine terminal operation truly make their facility a “Port within a Port.”  Maher will show a video of their highly efficient container terminal operation.

Tour Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT), 272-acre container terminal.  PNCT currently handles more than 1.3 million TEU’s.  PNCT secured a long-term extension of its lease agreement with the Port Authority through 2050.  PNCT’s total expansion will add 1.0 million TEU’s of capacity, effectively adding an additional terminal to the Port of NY/NJ.  PNCT will invest $500 million in the terminal, which is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the State of New Jersey. It includes the expansion and improvement of the terminal yard, construction of a new gate facility, as well as upgrading, deepening and expanding berths. Additionally, new gantry cranes capable of servicing ultra-large container vessels and will continue with the expansion of its straddle carrier fleet.

PANEL DISCUSSION

Maximizing ROI of Supply Chain Software

***EVENT POSTPONED***

We will work with our venue, panelists, and sponsors on rescheduling this event and be sure to keep everyone posted.

The majority of large volume shipping organizations already have automation tools deployed from ERPs, TMS, WMS, and YMS to Visibility Solutions, Settlement Process tools and others.  Many have already captured the low-hanging savings from process automation.

How do shippers with mature systems already implemented continue to drive value from supply chain technology solutions to ensure consistent and significant ROI after the easy savings have been realized?

Join leaders from the cloud-based transportation management system provider, UltraShipTMS, logistics visibility solution provider FourKites, as well as renowned supply chain industry analyst, Adrian Gonzalez of Talking Logistics for an in-depth exploration on strategies shippers can embrace to ensure continuing return on investment into their logistics IT operations.
